NXP Semiconductors N.V., the world's largest supplier of automotive semiconductor solutions, today announced a new generation of RoadLINK solutions that extend its leadership in the field of vehicle-to-everything communications. The new NXP SAF5400 is the world's first high-performance single-chip DSRC modem with automotive standards. With a unique scalable architecture, industry-leading new security features, and advanced RF complementary metal oxide semiconductor components (RFCMOS) and Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology, OEM manufacturers offer flexible options to District deployment of security V2X and on-site upgrades.
V2X technology allows vehicles to communicate with other cars, infrastructure and other passers-by to enhance driving safety and smooth driving experience. V2X's DSRC / 802.11p version minimizes the latency of real-time communication, even in areas where there is no cellular network connection, and can travel more than a mile. DSRC also provides dedicated secure operating channels to ensure that security-related information can communicate with other data instantly and securely, making it an important part of the auto-driving sensor kit in the current car network. DSRC-based V2X also helps trucks move in platooning, a pioneer in environmentally friendly driving.
NXP's SAF5400 modem combines advanced transceiver technology with complete baseband, media access control (MAC) and firmware into a complete single-chip dedicated modem (Radio Frequency; RF) performance in the industry's leading range of work, is the industry's first single-chip modem to verify more than 2000 messages per second. The SAF5400 architecture is fully scalable and can be used as part of the NXP i.MX family of application processors, security systems, power management systems and in-vehicle network solutions as part of the NXP Security V2X system platform.
To achieve the highest level of security, NXP provides SXF1800 this exclusive hardware security components. SXF1800's basic technology is used in the world's most sensitive security environment, including electronic passports, bank cards, smart phones, and today's cars. The SXF1800 has a strong anti-detection and tamper-proof feature for safety assessment and certification by the third party. It also meets the V2X safety requirements through NXP i.MX processor software to provide both performance and cost s Choice.
The secure single-chip V2X solution integrates NXP's software-defined radio technology to provide customers with a platform that can support different regional standards through a single hardware solution, thereby significantly reducing development, certification and maintenance efforts and reducing the worldwide launch of V2X Difficulty. With NXP RFCMOS technology, analog RF and digital baseband can be integrated into a single chip for smaller hardware sizes.
"NXP offers a secure single-chip V2X platform that enhances the ability to" see "the deadline of the vehicle, which will help us save lives," said Kurt Sievers, executive vice president and general manager of NXP Semiconductors and general manager of the automotive division. The new generation of NXP RoadLINK is based on NXP's industry-leading solutions that are already used around the world, providing a high-performance and scalable platform for OEMs to use around the world. "
The NXP V2X platform runs in the 5.9 GHz and 760 MHz bands and is compatible with all of the leading vendor's global software protocols as a true global V2X solution. The NXP V2X system platform meets and is above the current guidelines for the US Department of Transportation's "Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM)" and the latest standards in Europe, Japan and South Korea.
NXP SAF5400 modem
The NXP SAF5400 single-chip modem is the core of the secure V2X system platform called RoadLINK ™. RoadLINK is the world's premier security V2X solution, and has so far completed more than a million days of testing and is the only 5.9 GHz V2X solution to be certified for mass production.
SAF5400 Brief description:
